Prayer and Warfare Songs
Battle songs have been utilized throughout the time of the Bible and in more recent times.
These are wartime music and spiritual tune that motivates us in prayer..
1. Before battle, soldiers' spirits and morale are boosted by war songs. They are reminded of their mission and justification for fighting by the song.
2. The army as a whole is motivated, reassured, and united by war songs.
3. Tactical and strategic songs about war matter a lot
David the King, had more than 200 worshipers in his army and was aware that God defended Israel while he worshiped
One of David's numerous songs of war is Psalm 68.
David urges the people of God to thank God, remember Who God is, and put their faith in His delivering might in Psalm 68, a war hymn.
"Let God arise, scatter His adversaries, and cause those who despise Him to flee before Him. Drive them away in the same way that smoke is driven away; let the wicked perish in the presence of God as wax melts before a fire. Psalm 68:1-2
Because we are living in the opening stages of the end times, we are more challenged than ever to engage in a war of faith and to pray fervently.
The holy Bible tells us to put on all of God's armor so that we can fend off the devil's tricks (Ephesians 6:11).
We must take this order more seriously today because the conflict is considerably more intense. We are required to wage intense spiritual combat. As we declare in word and in songs who Jesus Christ is, the demons must quake and submit.
In the conflict of Gethsemane, on the cross of Calvary, and during His Resurrection, He defeated Satan. We can, and in fact, must, pray in confidence and with assurance that God listens.
When adore Jesus, we can witness miracles of His intervention.
When we praise the Name of Jesus, His blood, and His victory, total confusion rages over the forces of darkness.
Christians are commanded to engage in spiritual warfare against sin:
"Put on the whole armor of God so that you can resist the devil's schemes. Because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but rather against principalities, powers, rulers of this age's darkness, and spiritual armies of evil in the high places. Ephesians 6:11–12.
When fear grips our heart and our hope in physical structures fail us, our only stronghold is the Lord Jesus Christ. When that happens, with cry and travails of songs of deliverance we make our request known to God our maker, ....and He delivers us
The Lord is good and His mercies endures forever.
Come bless the Lord with me. Let's wage war in the Spirit...for there-in lies liberty
You can choose to lift up a song or cry out to Jesus, who is right there with you in your valley of suffering, just like David did when he sang psalms and hymns to the Lord while he was engaged in battle.
Friends, the best thing to do when life's storms have you beaten down and exhausted, is to run to Jesus!
"Where does my help come from? I lift up my eyes unto the hills. The Creator of heaven and earth, the Lord, provides me with assistance. (Ps. 121:1-2 NIV)
Praise the Lord, for He good and His mercies endures forever
