Calvary greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our story today, is a continuation from where we left off the other day. This is the second part of the series I have named "the usefulness of the unwanted one". It would be great if you could get to read the ''part one'' of the same topic. Our scripture for today will be taken from Judges 11 : 1-28

Scripture: Judges 11 : 1-10
Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty warrior. His father was Gilead; his mother was a prostitute. 2 Gilead’s wife also bore him sons, and when they were grown up, they drove Jephthah away. “You are not going to get any inheritance in our family,” they said, “because you are the son of another woman.” 3 So Jephthah fled from his brothers and settled in the land of Tob, where a gang of scoundrels gathered around him and followed him.
4 Some time later, when the Ammonites were fighting against Israel, 5 the elders of Gilead went to get Jephthah from the land of Tob. 6 “Come,” they said, “be our commander, so we can fight the Ammonites.”
7 Jephthah said to them, “Didn’t you hate me and drive me from my father’s house? Why do you come to me now, when you’re in trouble?”
8 The elders of Gilead said to him, “Nevertheless, we are turning to you now; come with us to fight the Ammonites, and you will be head over all of us who live in Gilead.”
9 Jephthah answered, “Suppose you take me back to fight the Ammonites and the Lord gives them to me—will I really be your head?”
10 The elders of Gilead replied, “The Lord is our witness; we will certainly do as you say.”
THE AGONY OF JEPHTHAH
As the story goes, Jephthah is the legitimate son of Gilead. According to the Bible, Gilead's wife gave birth to Jephthah but somehow, the brothers of Jephthah decided to visit the iniquities of the mother upon Jephthah the son. They never cared that he was their brother. It's most likely his presence made them unsafe or just mere jealousy.
Maybe society is treating you like Jephthah. You are being sacked from that which is legitimately yours. You are being cheated out of that which is legally yours; and there is no one to plead your case for you. My dear, Fret, not, for God is watching, and He will vindicate you.
Jephthah, eventually had to leave the house. The relief that the enemy thinks has been secured today, will be short-lived.
Jephthah, had to join himself with other gangs in the land of Tob to survive. Through shear strength and tenacity, he became the leader of his gang. He pressed on to do what he knew how, to survive. He was a master in his field. In no time his fame went abroad. His brothers in Israel heard of his name, but could not approach him. It took national leaders to approach him.
Can I submit to you that, no matter the situation you find yourself in, with discipline, prayer and tenacity, you will make it. It might seem gloomy today but don't give up, for the "Egyptians you see today, you will see them no more, forever," Don't forget, Jephthah, was not lazy. So don't be lazy.

Principle number 1:
DON'T BE LAZY, PAINSTAKINGLY WORK TOWARDS WHAT YOU CAN DO BEST. IF THERE IS NOTHING TO DO AT THE MOMENT, JUST LEARN OR FIND SOMETHING TO DO.
There is no shame in humble beginning
No one will encourage you, so don't try looking for encouragement from anyone. Do what you can do best and polish it. Perfect whichever skill you know how to master. They will come and look for you when the time is up, It is said that if you invest one hour a day to learn about an issue or a topic, you become a perfect (professor) in it in a span of 5 years. Let's assume you invest 2 or 3 hours a day in it. You can perfect it in a year or two. Men will then be looking for you to give them solutions in that area. Don't be lazy! It is possible. In fact, the word "IMPOSSIBLE" is simply telling you -'' I'M POSSIBLE''. So don't let the rejection push you down.
Conclusion:
Jephthah, became the commander over the whole of Israel after the nations leaders came begging him to come and lead them. This time, it was not his house alone, but the whole Country. God can promote you! Only be diligent. Pick yourself up, determine and put yourself through mentorship, schooling or something to polish yourself up. God will surely show Himself strong on your behalf.
Jephthah, who was unwanted and rejected, became the savior of his people.
You can also make it and be useful.
I am useful in Jesus' name Amen
